The Making of Color of Reality

This month, StandardVision is screening a Behind the Scenes recap of Alexa Meade, Lil Buck, and Jon Boogz’ Color of Reality as part of our Day in the Life Artist Series. The video plays once an hour on the #SVLA screen from February 6 to March 7, coinciding also with next week's rerelease of Color Of Reality during our "Best of 2016” SV Presents retrospective. The SVLA1 screen is located on the Courtyard Marriott at 901 W Olympic Blvd. 

In anticipation of the Day in the Life _release, we’d like to share some additional videos and information on how this fascinating piece came to be made. With over 7 million views, Color Of Reality _has gone on to win numerous awards internationally and has been featured in the New York Times, and the Huffington Post among other publications. 

Alexa Meade uses her perspective-bending artwork to make Jon Boogz, Lil Buck, and 3D spaces look like the world of a 2D painting. Videographer  Abbey Sacks helped capture Meade's process behind the scenes of Color Of Reality.
